Michael Washer

Our teacher has spent more than 30 years learning how the details of Judaism reveal and explain Yeshua and the Messianic Kingdom and bringing clarity to "prophecy". Though he has had no formal training in any "Theological institution", his knowledge of the Scriptures and ability to answer deep and difficult questions is hard to find elsewhere.

He was raised in a reform Jewish home to a military family, doing art from an early age.  He came to know the Messiah in 1979 at Shavuot and immediately began doing art based in the Bible with Jewish subject matter.  From that early age of 19, he grew up within Messianic Judaism, but within a few years he was captivated with the repeating patterns and images found in the Bible and began developing a body of teachings showing Judaism as a set of Pictures, metaphors or shadows from which to learn.

He has made his home in El Paso since 1978. He married his amazing wife Eileen in 1986, and together, they led a Messianic Congregation  in El Paso from 1992 to 2005.  In this new iteration of congregational life, Washer is older and wiser, and has a new approach. At the same time, he teaches art in public school, and has continued to refine his own art; working to assist the Jewish people to take back the ownership of the image and understanding of Yeshua.
